Podcast Announcement
I once called reading my old work a particular kind of torture. So, when I tell you that I’m going to be rereading The Scarring Underneath, slowly – chapter by chapter, and aloud for other people – you’ll know it’s a big deal. The most disturbing detail is that I’m excited about it.
I’ve begun releasing TSU as a serialized podcast. The first three chapters are already available. A new chapter will drop each week on my website or wherever you listen to podcasts. There are 25 chapters and an epilogue in TSU, so the whole thing will finish in July.
I’m actually enjoying trying something new and I’m excited about giving TSU a little love and getting it out to a new audience. I’m also happy to offer something to those of you who have said you wished it was an audiobook. (It is now, kind of! You just have to be patient.)
The player is available on the TSU page of this site or you can search for it wherever you’re listening. Let me know if you enjoy podcasts somewhere it hasn’t been published and I’ll work on getting it there.
Big thanks to the Billings Public Library Co+Lab. I’ve been reserving their sound booth to record the chapters so far. I’m so glad that a free resource like this is available to library patrons! Thanks also to Renee Barratt of The Cover Counts for modifying the incredible cover design for the podcast. Thanks to Mikhail Smusev from Pixabay for the music.
Thanks so much for reading (and listening!) Books are so important in an educated, empathetic society. So, if you’re not reading mine, I hope you are reading someone else’s. Read what you love. Read what makes you better. Read early, read late, read often. And support your local library!
