I should've prepared better - gotten up early to write or something. My family and I traveled a couple hours away to watch my husband's high school football team compete. We sat out in the freezing Montana cold, drove back, had issue after issue in regards to dinner and getting the kids to bed. By the time they were tucked in and I could write, I had a killer headache and all I wanted was bed.
Of course I'm disappointed. I thought I was kicking Nano's butt! But, I think there's a reminder in this for me and anyone else. Life happens. and you just keep going. I can play catch up and get back on track. I'm no less determined to finish this draft by 11/30. And even if I don't. If this missed day for some reason kills my goal and I wind up 1,667 words short of 50,000, guess what? I've still written 48,333 words of my novel. And that's pretty frickin good!
