Week 1 went about as well as I could've hoped. A decent, steady start. Day 1: Ended with 2,263 after four writing sessions throughout the day. Biggest frustration was two very short writing sessions courtesy of my little cutie who didn’t want to nap today. Checked in at a virtual write-in with writers from my region. Looking forward to an in-person write-in on Saturday. Halloween candy was a nice reward. Biggest inspiration was just being at the keyboard again, charging ahead. Tired, but looking forward to tomorrow! Day 2: Failed session in A.M. No nap for my baby. Though, she’s slept through the night two nights in a row and that’s a first. Did transfer my work so far into Dabble to give it a try for the month as Scrivener and I are not getting along. Finally got in 1,545 in two sessions. Very tired tonight, but still liking how the writing is coming fairly well. Day 3: Attended a local write-in at a coffee shop. It was fun to meet other Nano writers from my area and know that I’m not alone in my craziness at attempting this. Got gifts that I love, added quite a bit to my count for the day, and made some new writer acquaintances. Made my donation to Nano on Double-Up Donation day. Busy running errands the rest of the day and then took the night off to watch a movie with the hubby (self-care!) Ended with 5,006 words total, added 1,198. End of Week Word Count: 5,006 Technology that helped this week: Dabble. I'm giving it a free trial this month. Check out their site at www.dabblewriter.com to see what it's all about. Music that inspired my writing this week: "Doomed" by Bring Me the Horizon ![]() Quote of the Week:
