Many of you may know that my beloved home state of Montana suffered a horrendous wildfire season this year. Over a million acres of land burned. Homes, livelihoods, and historic buildings were lost and my friends and family suffered from the smoke that blanketed the Big Sky.
Some of you will also remember that I pledged all the proceeds of The Scarring Underneath for the months of July, August, and September to a wildfire relief fund. The entire state was affected, so it took a while for me to decide where to donate. In the end, I chose the Garfield County Fire Foundation Relief Fund. It’s all volunteer, so no administrative fees are taken out. And they’re still taking donations, if you’re interested in making your own. Click here for full info.
