![]() Just under a year after we moved from North Dakota to Montana, we have moved again. This time we've returned to the town where we met, married, and had our first child; Billings, MT. It has been a very busy, happy couple of months. Through all of the unpacking and reconnecting with old friends, I'm struggling to continue striving towards my writing goals. I am four weeks into the first class in my copyediting course. So far the experience has been both informative and humbling. I have always loved learning and the process of reading, taking notes, and then testing my knowledge is becoming familiar. I have also taken an unfamiliar step. I applied to be a vendor at a book festival not far from here this September. It is a smaller event and priority is given to those who represent more than one author, so there is a chance that I could be bumped. However, if I am accepted, this will be the first time I’ve appeared in public representing my work. It’s exciting and terrifying and I’m not entirely sure that I’m ready for it, but I’m diving in. I have to get into the water somehow!

It's good to try new things.
